The ZX240-3 superceeds the earlier model ZX230, and continues a strong history of reliable excavators from Hitachi. 

The ZX250-3 is the ideal machine for light wood harvesting and skid site loading, or general contracting. Complete with all new Zaxis-3 technology, the versatile ZX250-3 series combines solid work performance with luxury operator comfort for superior productivity.

Boosted Productivity
The new hydraulic system, HIOS III, and new OHC 4-valve diesel engine powering the ZX240-3 & ZX250-3 series were developed specifically for Hitachi’s ZAXIS-3 line up of excavators. These advanced technologies are at work to yield bigger output with higher fuel efficiency.

A New Standard in Operator Comfort
The operator's seat of the ZAXIS-3 series gives the operator an excellent view of the jobsite. On the widescreen colour LCD monitor the operator can see what is behind the machine through the rear-mounted camera, as well as machine performance, vital statistics and fault diagnostics. Ample legroom, short stroke levers and a large comfortable seat ensure optimum working conditions for the operator during long hours. The ZAXIS-3 range of Hitachi excavators also include a theft deterrent security system.

A Solid Base for a Long Life
Hitachi’s technology is built on a wealth of experience and know-how from limestone sites and quarries around the world. The undercarriage of the ZX240-3 & ZX250-3 series has become much stronger. Improved construction and enlarged box sections, a track undercover plate that protects the centre joint and hydraulic hoses make this machine more durable.

The ZX240-3 & ZX250-3 series come in standard or long crawler (LC) specifications including heavy duty (H), and demolotion (K)specifications.
