Hitachi Mid Excavator

Featuring the same engine technology as Hitachi’s Zaxis-3 tracked excavators, the ZX170W-3 wheeled excavator utilises the new DOHC* 4-valve diesel engine. The engine is developed and built to comply with the rigorous Emission Regulations enforced in 2007 in U.S and EU. This new engine contributes to environmental preservation while at the same time realising high durability and low fuel consumption.

The new DOHC 4-valve engine and new power train have improved increased driving ability in comparison to the conventional ZAXIS-1, so you can maneuver around the jobsite or between jobsites with ease.

The upgrade to ZAXIS-3 has also meant the ZX170W operating environment has improved significantly to provide a more comfortable and thus more productive working environment for the operator. The operator's seat of the ZAXIS-3 series gives an excellent view of the jobsite. Moreover, the widescreen color LCD monitor allows the operator to see what is behind the machine via the rear mounted camera. Ample legroom, short stroke levers and a large seat also ensure optimum working conditions for the operator during long shifts.
