Scania Top Team Preparations in full swing!

Posted on: Friday, 21 July 2017

Preparations are well underway to find New Zealand’s next Scania Top Team.  Scania Top Team is a worldwide competition, hosted by Scania Sweden, which combines the knowledge and skills of the Scania product with professionalism and teamwork.

CablePrice recently carried out qualifying rounds at a number of its branches throughout the country, which included teams from Whangarei, Auckland, Gisborne, Hastings, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch and Invercargill.  The teams had to complete two rounds of 50 theory questions supplied by Scania, on all aspects of service, repair, and maintenance of Scania trucks and buses.

With only 14 points separating the teams, the qualifying rounds were extremely close. A big thank you to all the teams that participated, and a pat on the back for our teams from Auckland, Whangarei, Christchurch and Palmerston North, who placed in the top four.  These teams will now travel to Wellington on September 23rd to go head to head in the National Top Team final.  It is this leg of the competition that will determine the New Zealand winning team who will go on to represent CablePrice in the Top Team regional final to be held in South East Asia early next year.

8,000 Scania service personnel from around the world compete in this competition, and it makes CablePrice extremely proud that our Christchurch ‘Shakers’ team took out the world final in 2015 in Sweden.  We hope the winning streak continues!
