Hitachi construction machinery has been helping shape New Zealand since the first excavator, a UH03, was delivered in 1964.  Today Hitachi remains New Zealand's most popular excavator, with an extensive product range continuing to grow in dominance and popularity in New Zealand, and around the world.

Below are some of the more recent deliveries of Hitachi machinery to customers throughout New Zealand, who continue the strong legacy of productively, efficiently and reliably shaping our infrastructure.

An eye catching new mulcher for Treetech

Treetech have added to their extensive fleet this new Hitachi ZX200LC-5 fitted with the FAE 150VT mulcher. The decision to go with Hitachi was not just the fact that they wanted a high quality reliable machine, but wanted the support and backing that is carried out beyond the initial sale nationwide. First Hitachi!

Ray Flavell, owner of Flavell Logging has recently taken delivery of his first Hitachi ZX290L-5 Log Loader. Guarded up with a with a pro steel log build, the machine has been put to work in Muriwai near Gisborne. Pictured with the machine is Kayle Beckett who will be operating the machine. Machine sold and supported  by CablePrice Gisborne.

Hastings Demolition purchases a Hitachi ZX75US-5A

Replacing a very loyal Hitachi EX60-5, the machine will join a large fleet of demolition equipment based in the Hawkes Bay. Pictured with the machine is Graeme and Corry. Machine sold and supported by CablePrice Hastings.

Another Hitachi for Sweeney Logging

Sweeney Logging of Greymouth has added a new Hitachi ZX400L-5 to its fleet. The Hitachi ZX400L-5 is a Factory set up high and wide with heavy duty track gear. The rest of the guarding was carried out by Trinder Engineering in Nelson. The ZX400L-5 is fitted with a Waratah HTH 625C.

Diack Contracting are tapping into John Deere

Fresh back from the Christmas break, Diack Contracting Ltd have taken delivery of a new John Deere 909MH tracked levelling harvester, coupled with a Satco 630E felling head. The machine is now hard at work felling trees in the Tolaga area (East Coast). Ian Diack is very impressed with the John Deere’s stability and performance on steep slopes.
